Why Join SMiSA?
-
Empowerment: As a member of SMiSA, you have a direct voice in the decisions that shape the club’s future. Your vote matters, and your input can lead to real change.
-
Bolster fan ownership: The more members SMiSA have, the more funding we can provide to help the club remain competitive at the top end of the Scottish Premiership. As more clubs look to dilute their fan ownership model or sell shares to external investors, SMiSA want to double-down and push membership growth to ensure fan ownership remains in place for the foreseeable future!
-
Member benefits: Being a member of SMiSA, you'll be entitled to a benefits package associated with your membership tier. With prize draws, meet the manager nights, hospitality draws some of the potential benefits.
A Time For Change
As mentioned at the recent SMiSA AGM, some exciting changes to SMiSA will be happening over the next few months to take us to the next level. Our 'Buy the Buds' project has now been completed, and we are looking to move into the next phase of our ownership of the club. Keep your eyes peeled for updates coming on this front soon!SMiSA and Kibble Partnership
SMiSA entered into a partnership with local social enterprise Kibble in 2020, seeing St Mirren become majority-owned by the fans in 2021. SMiSA now hold a 51% shareholding, with Kibble holding 27% of shares. Whilst the partnership has had it's moments in the past, we are pleased to say that the SMiSA Board held a meeting with Jim Gillespie and Mark McMillan, the two Kibble representatives on the SMFC Board, on Monday 13th May. This meeting was to move the partnership forward and promote collaborative working for the benefit of St. Mirren Football Club. The meeting was very productive with positive outcomes for both parties. We look forward to more joined-up working in future. An Exciting Time for SMFC!
