Saints Aid 8 Update - Full Event Itinerary

Image

With Saints Aid 8 just around the corner this Sunday, SMiSA is able to update all players and interested spectators on the day's events.

Firstly, we have some sad news that due to injury, one of our players, Kenny Morrison, has had to pull out of the event.  His place has been taken up by Stephen Bryceland who has generously matched Kenny's bid for the Home 10 shirt.  Everyone at SMiSA would like to wish Kenny all the best with his recovery, and thank Stephen on taking up the place.

On a happier note however, we can confirm that the Paisley Daily Express competition for the final place in the event was won by Graham Miller.  We would like to congratulate Graham on winning the place and wish him all the best for the day.

We do have a full itinerary for the event though.  Please click the 'Read More' button for more information.

12 noon
- Enter through the Main Entrance at St. Mirren Park, Greenhill Road where you meet your team-mates in the Players Lounge.

12.15pm - Go into your dressing room where your strip will be waiting for you. Get changed and go onto the hallowed turf for your warm-up.

12.45pm - Back into your dressing room for your pre-match team talk from your manager.

12.55pm - Walk down the tunnel, pre-match photos and last warm-up.

1pm - Let the action begin!

2.45pm–3pm (est) - Medal & trophy presentations, and a drink and a sandwich at the bar.

The stadium will be open on the day for any friends and family wishing to attend and will be free to enter - there will sadly not however be catering provided.

Please though, do not arrive any earlier than 12 noon as you'll just be waiting around while we finish off the preparations at the ground.

Also all players should make sure to remember to bring the following items, which they WILL NEED and won't be provided:

Football Boots
Shinguards
Towels
Toiletries
A change of clothes

Keepers should also remember to bring their own gloves.

Finally while this has already been stated on the website previously, we would wish to remind all players that the kit is supplied by the club and is generally pre-worn, so if any players have any issues with the kit being supplied we would ask that you raise it with SMiSA (members of the trust will be there on Sunday) to take forward to the club.

If any players or spectators have any further questions about the event on Sunday then please don't hesitate to send an email to [email protected] and we will do our best to answer them promptly.

Thanks again to all who bid, and all who won a place – we hope you enjoy the experience of what should be a great day!
