Saints Aid 7 - Competition Winners

ImageToday SMiSA can confirm that the competitions for the remaining places in Saints Aid 7, which will take place on Sunday May 18th, have had their winners drawn.

The Paisley Daily Express competition for the home 12 shirt was won by Stuart Baungally.  As Stuart had already bought the home 14 place in the event, he has kindly donated that #14 jersey on to Duncan Johnston, so he can take up his #12 one.

The Official Site competition for the away 12 shirt, was won by Graeme Ogg, and the Black & White Army.com competition for the away 14 shirt, was won by "Frank McGarvey' wonky legs".

SMiSA would like to thank the PDE, the official site and B&W Army.com, for all their help in publicising what should be a great event on the 18th of May, as well as everyone who entered the 3 competitions.  We would also of course, like to offer our congratulations to the 3 lucky winners and wish them a happy & enjoyable time on the 18th.

Saints Aid 7 - Event Sells Out + Competitions Go Live!

ImageThe 7th Annual Saints Aid event sold out this morning, with the last available shirt being sold.  This means that the auction for places has had to close early!

We at SMiSA want to thank everyone who took the time to bid for a place, and to congratulate the 23 lucky winners who will take to the pitch on Sunday, May 18th for what is sure to be a memorable occasion.

While we do not anticipate any of the 23 winners to cancel, in the unlikely event that they do, the auction will be reopened for a brief period to allow people to go for the available place.

3 places do however remain open - in 3 special competitions run by our friends at the Paisley Daily Express, the Official St. Mirren Website, and Black & White Army.com.  These competitions are for the Home 12, Away 12 and Away 14 places respectively.

SMiSA AGM - Recap

Image

On Sunday, 30th September, prior to a disappointing 3-1 defeat at home to Hearts, SMiSA held its’ Annual General Meeting in Suburbia, Shuttle St, Paisley.

A number of things were discussed at the meeting, which also saw club chairman Stewart Gilmour & director Bryan McAusland make a welcome appearance for an hour long Question & Answer session.

Board Members Resign Positions

ImageSMiSA Chairman David Grier, along with board members Eric Balfour & Ken Mathie have taken the decision to step down from their positions on the trust committee, citing a mixture of work commitments & personal reasons for why they felt they could not continue to dedicate as much time to their roles as they would have otherwise wished.

David, Eric & Ken have all made substantial contributions to the trust during their time on its board, and all at SMiSA thank them for their hard work and dedication over the past months and years.

This news means that there are committee positions still vacant for any members who wish to volunteer their time and effort in helping to organise the direction of the trust.

New SMiSA Chairman Appointed

ImageFollowing on from the news that David Grier has resigned from his position as SMiSA Chairman, Alistair Colquhoun has volunteered to take up the vacant position.  No other members of the trust offered to do so at the recent AGM, and as a result there was no requirement for an election to be held.

All at SMiSA wish to thank Alistair for volunteering to take on the new role and are confident that he will help take the trust forward in a positive direction.
